Health and Wellness

The Academy recognizes the prime importance of addressing issues of health and safety.

Younger students learn about personal wellness, home and personal safety, first aid, nutrition, and growth and development. Older students learn about preventive medicine, personal growth and development, and alcohol and drug abuse.

The Hebrew Academy pays serious attention to the social, emotional and psychological needs of students, through a program created and administered by its Wellness
Committee. At the core of this unique program are the school social worker and a team of
parents, who are all mental health professionals. The school social worker regularly
meets with individual students and classes to nurture positive group dynamics and help them develop problem-solving, conflict management and other social skills that will serve them throughout their lives.
