5-8th Grade Trip

RE: Year End Washington Trip

Dear Parents,

On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, June 16th – 18th, we are scheduling a
3-day trip to Washington, DC for all students in grades 5-8. Our tentative program includes visiting the Holocaust Museum, the Smithsonian, the Mint,
the White House, the Capital, the Washington Monument, an evening tour of
the Lincoln, Jefferson and Roosevelt Memorials, going to a baseball game, and visiting Baltimore Harbor, the Science Museum and the Aquarium.

I encourage all the students to take part in this exciting trip. However, we have forty-eight spaces available on the bus and thus we are forced to limit spaces on
a first come first serve basis. The trip will cost $250 per child. Limited Scholarships are available. Please contact me at your earliest convenience if there is a need. Children will be staying in a hotel, and all food and entrance fees are covered by the $250 fee.

In order to make the payment for this trip easier for you, I ask that you submit before October 8th a deposit of $100. This will insure a spot for your child and will help us in the planning of this trip. Parents may also opt to pay this amount monthly so that it does not become a burden when we ask for the full amount.

6:45 Board bus; Departure
2:30pm Holocaust Museum
5:30 Dinner at Max’s Kosher Cafe
6:45 Check in at Oxon Hill Comfort Inn, Maryland
7:30 Evening tour of Washington Memorials
9:30 Return to Hotel

Tuesday, June 17th

6:30am Davening/Breakfast
7:30 Depart for the day
8:30 Visit Arlington Cemetery
10:00 Air & Space Museum
11:15 National Museum of Natural History MAX Theater—3D Dinosaurs
12:10pm Lunch
1:00 Capital Tour
3:30 International Spy Museum
